Aigamas Birding

We have ample opportunity to observe the free flying birds. From the smallest to the occasional greatest. We have enough to explore for a long time. Bring your binoculars, camera and cool water bottle to marvel at them all.

Over the years we have seen the bird diversity grow. Preparing waterholes at all outposts helped antelopes but also the birds to thrive. So much so that today we have a lovely variety of birds. Sometimes we also see some very odd birds. Birds that, according to the books, don’t belong in our area, yet we saw them and appreciated them. Additionally one can observe the seasonal visitors as they make their stops.

For birding we have several options: going on hikes with the guide that spend several years studying and observing the birds and their habits. Or you could settle down at a waterhole in a hideout or under a shady tree and relax, watching them go about their life. Finally, you could also just stay at home and still observe them. We have a waterhole and a garden that truly attracts all kinds of fathered friends.
